Elizabeth A. Lacey MSW RSW is a Registered Social Worker and the owner of Oakridge Counselling. Elizabeth has a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelors Degree in Social Work (BSW) from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree with a major in Social Development Studies, also from the University of Waterloo and certificates in general social work and child abuse from Renison College.

Elizabeth received the Sheldon Rahn award of ethics and was the Valedictorian in her BSW year. She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Social Work (OASW & CASW), and is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Elizabeth has experience in:

• Crisis intake work
• Sexual assault center crisis line
• Group facilitation and individual counselling with teenaged females that were pregnant and homeless
• Child and family therapy in a children's mental health facility
• Child welfare
• Sexual abuse treatment with victims, offenders and non-offending family members
• Individual, Couple and Family therapy under the supervision of an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor

Elizabeth has studied extensively in marriage and family therapy, separation, divorce blended families and child custody, sexual abuse treatment with offenders and victims, mental illness, alcoholism, poverty, male socialization and feminism.
